Dear friends*, dear comrades*, on November 27, 1993, the racist and criminalizing ban on the Partiya Karkerên Kurdistan (Kurdistan Workers’ Party), also known as the PKK, came into effect. The FRG was one of the first European countries to issue this ban, in order to criminalise the Kurdish people and their liberation movement once and for all and to burden them with repression. Thus, the authorities here can, on the basis of this law, attack the Kurds* and inflict massive punishments and bans on them. It is enough to show solidarity with the PKK to find oneself in the crosshairs of the German repressive bodies. The reason for this is very simple: Germany and Turkish state fascism have always been close allies. We remember Halim Dener, who was murdered in cold blood by German policemen in 1994 because he was carrying and putting up posters with allegedly forbidden symbols.
The illegal imprisonment of Abdullah Öcalan in 1999 was just one sad culmination of the ongoing repression against our Kurdish friends* and comrades*.
Anti-fascist individuals and groups who stand in solidarity with the PKK and the Kurdish liberation movement are also affected by totally excessive measures by the state.
28 years of banning the PKK is too much!
Therefore we call, as “Free Adel – Free all Antifascists”, for a national demonstration on 27.11.21 at 12 o’clock at Hermannplatz in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

DOWN WITH TURKISH FASCISM

SOLIDARITY WITH THE KURDISH LIBERATION MOVEMENT

STOP THE BAN ON THE PKK
