Adel’s trial report

Dear friends*, dear comrades*, first of all we would like to thank all those who showed total solidarity before and during the trial! We thank all the people around the world who looked into Adel’s case and showed solidarity!        The trial started with an anti-fascist rally which started with a slight delay. As time went on, more and more people came together to show practical solidarity and to show that Adel is not alone. The much-publicised ‘mass’ of Nazi supporters did not happen, not least because of our large-scale mobilisation. The police were not present in large numbers either, but in quite excessive numbers. The Landeskriminalamt of course sent the “first guard” of its department of clowns from the police, including provocative behaviour and smirks. We know you 😉 Only a very disturbed right-wing extremist tried to enter the court with pepper spray in his hand. This attempt failed due to his embarrassing presence and resulted in a complaint. Concerning the trial: the court spontaneously moved the room and had the idea to reduce the 20 seats announced for the audience* to only 10. A coincidence? No. This attempt was rather to sabotage once again the critical observation of the trial. The police harassed the observers in solidarity with the trial with the usual mockery. At the beginning of the trial, our friend Adel, in solidarity and compassion with all the antifascists* affected by the repression, held up a paper he had written himself with the large inscription “Free all Antifas” and raised his left fist in the air. There was a round of applause from the audience, which the judge used to make it clear that this was not a funny demonstration. Adel wore a specially printed T-shirt with the simple words “We have no guns, but a conscience…”, a clear reference to the court’s crazy security order. Adel’s lawyer began the hearing with her initial request for a stay of the trial on grounds of protection against infection, as it is highly likely that the ‘injured’ Nazis did not use the vaccination needle and could thus become a risk to all those involved in the trial and their relatives. The judge of course rejected this important claim, arguing that everything had been done to minimise the risk of infection. When Adel lowered his mask for a few seconds to take a sip of water, the judge directly challenged him by saying “you must not drink, think of your mother”.
Our lawyer’s second request was the most beautiful 70-minute monologue we have heard in a long time. Its content was about whether there is any legal basis for using undercover “evidence” as such in the proceedings. Better known as ‘agent provocateur’. After this request, the judge was on the verge of despair and was looking in vain for an end. Finally, they agreed on a stay of proceedings until February 2022, after which five days of trial are scheduled until 18.03.22, ironically the day of political prisoners. The arrest warrant and the obligation to report of Adel are also invalid. This is in any case a new slice of freedom of life! The struggle goes on and we will do a lot more in the meantime! It was the day of the trial of our comrade Adel.
